Roles and Responsibilities

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector.

· Lead the entire sales process from lead generation to contract closure.

· Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s presence in the government sector.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government clients (ministries, PSUs, etc.).

· Serve as the primary contact for all government accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and resolving issues promptly.

· Monitor and respond to government tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.

· Coordinate with internal teams for timely and accurate proposal submissions.

· Lead negotiations with government agencies to secure contracts with favorable terms.

· Manage the entire bid process, from identifying opportunities to post-award contract management.

· Provide regular reports and updates on government sales activities, performance, and forecasts to the senior management team.

· Keep abreast of changes in government policies, regulations, and procurement processes, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Desired Skillset

· Proven experience in government sales or government contracting, with a strong track record of winning government contracts.

· In-depth knowledge of government procurement regulations, such as FAR, and the ability to ensure compliance.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and operations.

· Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales management tools.

· Knowledge of the specific industry or sector in which the company operates.

· A high level of ethics and integrity, given the importance of compliance in government sales.

· Willingness to travel as needed to meet with government clients and attend conferences or trade shows.

· Experience working with government customer in their respective geo.
